Transcending the Cosmic Octave is an art installation created as an entry for the OPA Astrology & Art Grant 2022. Inspired by the late April Jupiter-Neptune-Venus conjunction in Pisces, this multidimensional art installation blends painting, music, and dance to explore the energetic influence of this rare astrological event.

Astrologer and visual artist Narayana Montúfar collaborated with musician Gerrit Coetzee, professional dancer Renee Lee, and set designer Alex Drossler to create an atmosphere of ecstasy, mysticism, confusion, colorful delusion, expansion, and pleasure by exploring the light as well as the shadow side of this configuration in the sky.
